Romans - Rated M for mature - Pt 2
Maturing as Christians is not just a matter of going through things that are difficult. Rather, it is more a matter of receiving and embracing ideas and character attributes that we don’t necessarily want, but we know are right. Message delivered 2/28/10.
Romans - Rated M for mature - Pt 1
The book of Romans challenges us to mature as Christians. Being a Christian for a long time doesn’t guarantee maturity. The book goes a long way in setting the foundation for maturity, which is necessary to be able to really embrace God through difficult times. Message delivered 2/21/10.
Valentine from God — Be Mine!
God doesn’t isn’t coy about his love for us. He doesn’t sit sulking in his room waiting for us to get our act together and pursue him. Instead, he has a simple message for us: “Be mine!” — Message delivered 2/14/2010.
A New Age for the Church
So many times in our lives, it is traditions that we have put in place, or simply chosen to follow, that wall us off from what God wants us to do. The common men and women in the Book of Acts did extraordinary things because they chose to obey God rather than traditions. Message delivered 1/24/10.

Uncommon adventures of common people - Pt 10
This message on the uncommon adventures of common people in the Book of Acts focuses on Saul’s conversion. Saul started out persecuting The Way and trying to stamp it out, but ended up writing most of the New Testament. How did that happen? Because he recognized authority and was not afraid to obey, God did amazing things in his life. Message delivered 12/13/09
Uncommon adventures - Pt 9
Was the ministry of Steven a success? He preached, got dragged into court, and was stoned to death. But his life showed how it’s not up to us to decide in everything what is success and what isn’t. It’s up to us to get to know God, to hang on, to follow after him, to be obedient to him in every situation and to love each. Then, whatever happens … happens. Quit looking at things having to be what you want them to be for you to be happy about your life. Message delivered 12/06/09.
Uncommon adventures - Pt 8
The Thanksgiving message comes from Acts 5 and the story of Ananias ans Sapphira, who did NOT have thankful hearts. They didn’t think they had “enough” and so lied to God. But the apostles had a perspective that went beyond their circumstances for God using their life. And through their obedience, no matter what happened, because of their obedience they were able to be thankful. Message delivered 11/22/09.
Uncommon adventures — Pt 7
It’s not easy to put ourselves into a position where we are vulnerable about our faith. But we are called to put ourselves in a position where God can be strong on our behalf. Acts 4 tells about Peter and John before the Jewish elders after healing the crippled man in the temple court. Luke makes it very clear that their boldness was a result of being filled by the Holy Spirit. Message delivered 11/15/09.
