Mission:
We believe in demonstrating the love of Jesus towards our brothers and sisters in need. Our love for our fellow man is based on the following statement by Jesus Christ in Matthew 25:34-36: “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what’s coming to you in this kingdom. It’s been ready for you since the world’s foundation.”
And here’s why:
I was hungry and you fed me. I was thirsty and you gave me to drink. I was homeless and you gave me a room. I was shivering and you gave me clothes. I was sick and you stopped to visit. I was in prison and you came to visit.
As we have strived to be a light demonstrating the love of Jesus in our community we have experienced a continuing increase in support over the years. Due to the generous donations from the residents, organizations and institutions in the community we have been able to provide a healthy, well balanced source of food twice a month for those in need. We also help in directing our food clients to other types of public assistance as well as any personal pray needs.
Community Support:
We are located in a community of families and individuals with caring hearts that continually support our pantry with food items all year round. Some of the organizations and institutions that support us are the students of Audubon High School & Mansion Ave. Grade School, the AWL Audubon Women’s League, Girl Scout Troops in the town of Audubon, Banks in the town of Audubon, Day Care Center in Oaklyn, Members of our church and other churches in Audubon, Residents of Audubon and nearby Mt. Ephraim, Haddon Heights and Haddon Twp.
History:
The N3C Food Pantry has been in existence for approximately ten+- years. Originally it was available for low income families that attended the church. The only people receiving food outside the church were the less fortunate in the town of Audubon at Thanksgiving when the church, with the aid of the students of Audubon High School, provided Turkey Dinners.
In 2004 the church body supported the expansion of the pantry in an effort to offer food to the less fortunate throughout the year. We only supplied families with non-perishables until November of 2009, at which time we partnered with the Food Bank of South Jersey so we could offer frozen and refrigerated products.
Times of Operation & Requirements:
We’re open the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 7 – 8 pm.
