We have called a new pastor!
Our search for a new pastor is over!
Our congregation met this month (December 2008) and voted without dissent to affirm the call of John C. Young Jr. of Spring Hill, Tenn., to become the fourth pastor in the history of our congregation.
John has most recently been working as a ministry development consultant, and created ministry development plans for different organizations including SHOUTfest outreach festivals, and church ministry development.
From 2002 into 2007 he was executive director of ZJAM (now Revolution Generation) and, among other accomplishments, directed Teenhopeline.com which is an on line live crisis outreach to teens. Last year Teenhopeline.com ministered to one hundred thousand teens one on one. Teenhopeline.com staff were trained in encouraging and advising teens with biblical solutions and are mandatory reporters of suicide, rape and abuse.
He and his wife Bette have a daughter, Emma.
They have served as missionries with the Assemblies of God and under the auspices of Book of Hope. He has served churches as associate pastor, worship leader (he plays guitar) and youth pastor.
They hope to be in South Jersey by February.
