Our motto, or mission statement, is “Experiencing Christ through community, service and love.”
At first, we are just friends and family meeting together and enjoying each other’s company.
But as we get to know each other and begin to hear the God’s call on our lives, we begin to serve each other and the community around us.
Finally, though, we learn about God’s love for us and let him teach us to love him and each other.
We believe that God has revealed His purpose for His people in through His Word. N3C understands that God has called us to reach individuals, families, and the community, placing emphasis on the following verses:
Isaiah 61:1 — The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted?and to proclaim that captives will be released?and prisoners will be freed. (NLT)
Romans 15:?1-3 — Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?” That’s exactly what Jesus did. He didn’t make it easy for himself by avoiding people’s troubles, but waded right in and helped out. “I took on the troubles of the troubled,” is the way Scripture puts it. (MSG)
